Tell us a bit about yourself and your cityWell i'm originally from Zimbabwe moved to the UK in 2001 and settled in Brighton a beautifull city on the south coast,my upbringing was pretty much average, i live just outside London in a very small quiet town called Milton Keynes,in terms of shops we only have one massive shopping centre where everyone shops so they is always some competition to look different.i would say my city needs a cultural infusion of more sources and styles, fashion scene is very poor,There are just a few people who actually dare to dress differently than the whole rest. I'm trying my best to hunt them down and take a picture of them for the blog and do a post under Style in My City
Can you explain the concept behind your Blog?
I started the blog in 2006 as a music blog, with few articles on fashion, but in 2008 i started focusing more on Mens fashion as they were few sites doing that,The blog is basically an exhibition of unique way of dressing and where i buy the clothes ,mixed with some bit of music,so i just want to share that with people around the world, I try not to blog about high end designers because most of my readers are just like me,we do most of our shopping on the High street and i try to feature stuff that is under £150 and below that is affordable to my readers.
Describe your personal style.
I always try to create a look that is simple and fits well,my style is very versatile,i try to take bits and pieces of what I like and incorporate them into my outfit somehow. I feel having your own identity is key in fashion; having a look that other people could recognize as your own. There are many people who still have a fear of looking different,I'm inspired from what I unconsciously see everywhere,Some ideas just pop up in my mind and others pop up by looking at someone else outfit and i'm huge fan of street style blogs.
Favorite designers and places to shop?i'm not really a big fan of high end designer clothes, or maybe its because i cant afford them but at the moment i really like stuff by a young British designer
